Spinoff thread: The Ritual of the Japanese Bath

I lived with a Japanese family in rural Oita prefecture. Here is how the bath worked. A gigantic tub was heated to almost unbearably hot temperature. You showered first and then after being completely clean, soaked in the tub for maybe five minutes and then went to bed. Soap never went near the tub. It was for soaking, not cleaning. After you soaked, the next family member did and so forth, all using the same water . It made a lot of sense, was said to be a huge factor in ensuring good sleep, and maintaining health. One of many ideas the Japanese have that are just better than most places.

They all use the same tub? Gross.

There are two kids of people, those that pee in the pool, and those that lie about it.
Same applies for Japanese family members in a shared tub.

Soaplands deserve their own threads. Wait until these guys learn about blowjob bars.

Family tub? I am assuming the patriarch gets in first. In that case I am cool with it, but if my demented dad moves in then we are done with this tradition.

I'd go after a spouse/SO, but not a parent or child. Or host family

So getting in hot water, after you took a bath of course, is somehow a great idea, and a indicator of how they are better? I guess this is where you tell me chop sticks are more functional than a fork.

Someone has jerked off in that bath.

Chopsticks are way more functional than forks.
