Spinoff: Most Powerful American LCN Boss of All Time

Since we had a topic of whether there was LCN activity in New Orleans the other day, I thought I would start this topic. Who do you think was the most powerful boss of any family in the continental US in the history of the American mafia since its formal founding dating back to the creation of the original Commission?
I would have to give my vote to Marcello based on the duration of his tenure and how much power he held in politics, law enforcement, and within the nationwide Crime Syndicate. A close second would have to be Gambino.
