Slavery in the long run was probably the best thing that ever happened to blacks that live in America. Last time I checked living in Africa sucked. There would be no Oprah if she was sitting in a mud hut fanning flies, waiting on the rice and medicine truck to get there.

Just saying!!!

must confess. When my father dies and I and my sisters are handed over millions and more in land and assets, I might feel a slight twinge of guilt.

But my grandparents worked very hard and saved every Penney. Meanwhile, blacks were not even allowed to an equal education or have the inheritance like whites have from their priveledge ancestors.

Having said that, I am a self made man who does very well, takes care of his wife and is responsible and always looking for a way to push myself harder and be bigger in buisness.

That has ZERO to do with my parents, grandparents etc. also, previous to my grandparents (that whole generation), this whole place/country was a fricking dump. They fought and worked VERY hard to get us where we are.

Sure, slaves made southern farm and plantation owners rich, but that really had nothing to do with the great inventions by many "white" people.

Which could've been "black" people I guess had they been free.

So in short, I don't give a frick

Yea, what dreaux said.

Made my own money, guess I am married and get it when I want because I sleep naked, eat when I want, and guess life is good enough for me not to worry about what someone says.

Worked around the world and every country I have been in everyone's been pretty cool. Only problem is when I went to Africa I was advised not to have African American's on my crew. I brought a good co-worker and friend with me to work on one of my crews and the local Africans gave him a hard time. We decided that it was best he was moved to another country which was not an easy decision, but it was best for his safety. Local Africans said it was nothing against him they dislike how African Americans wine about things. The Africans told me they have it worse and work hard to do better for themselves without complaining.

I think everyone world wide wants the same thing
1. Have a shot at doing well
2. Getting companionship
3. Taking care of their family

Like most people growing up in the South, in my area and my generation, We didn't have much. I have absolutely no guilt about my race, gender, height or any other thing beyond my control. Anyone who does is a moron or just has a propensity to be attracted to unnecessary drama.

I have guilt about things I've done wrong to people, as everyone should.
