Place I am about to close on,had a Generac 20kw standby generator installed a couple of years ago,it runs off of propane.

Any idea what the approximate cost of this was?

No idea but it is going to depend on duration of use.

I have a 7.5kW standby on natural gas. It was installed around 10 years ago by the previous owners. They left behind all documentation for things done to the house. If I remember correctly it was around $8,000 project to purchase it and have gas line run, electrical hooked up, transfer switch installed, etc

ETA: it must be bigger than 7.5kW. I think I'm thinking of the small generator I had at my previous house.

Obviously not very amazing, since the cost of the install is exactly what I was curious about.

Thanks, that is about what I guessed, wasn't sure though.
They poured a small slab for it on,then doing all the hook-ups etc.
