What about your PIN number for the ATM machine located next to the Department of Redundancy Department?

UPDATES:

The section and the title of the violation he wrote me down for do not match the offense--it's not even a motor vehicle offense

Are you sure it was a cop that stopped you?

No I am saying I've never had a cop write down my vin number for speeding.

Have you ever gotten a ticket before?

Yes, but in separate incidents 3 years apart. The vin number was recorded each time. The law he wrote me down for and its description do not match. At all.

they arent even in the same class.

Then your defense is either the police officer stopped the wrong vehicle, "this isn't my car listed on the ticket,"

or that you were never cited for a crime in the first place, since it can be proven that it was not YOUR vehicle being cited on the ticket.

I would present the ticket/situation to the DA and ask that it be dismissed, but I'm no lawyer to give such advice.

Good luck.

Called VASCAR lines baw. Used all over. If you're smart enough, do some research and thinking, and you can beat it in court

Just to help, I'll go look at a couple of tickets to check if there is a VIN on them

Okay, for three of the tickets I got last year, none of them had the VIN. Don't know where the others are to check. They normally just write down your plate #

I love how people want to argue about their tickets, usually over something "not being filled out" or "not being correct."

A lot of D.A.'s offices in Louisiana will reduce moving to non-moving. In my parish, I get them dismissed or reduced, depending on the violator's offense and record.

All this "wrong time" crap is usually just that - nothing that a Judge will use to dismiss the ticket.

That is the best thing one can do. The court will want their money, but they really could care less about having it effect someones insurance. Normally if you pay the court fee, they will reduce it, barring you dont have some crazy rap sheet or extensively bad driving record.

no, because you were speeding.

Even if you wanted to fight it you would have to take at least a couple days off from work to show up to court.

You do have a job right?
