15 kHz sine wave frequency

I’ve read that businesses, parks, and other locations are using these high frequency sound deterrents to repel young people at times when they are not supposed to be there. Apparently, the frequency being used is in the YouTube link above. I’m 52, and I can’t hear a thing. I’ve seen younger people post that it’s anything from uncomfortable to ear-splitting. What do you hear?

Job application's have the same response, also less annoying to those working in the area.

Phones and cheap speakers don't carry higher frequencies well, so it may be because of that. Try using headphones.

Classic stupid backwards american policy to try to keep people out of parks at certain times when in other countries they can thrive 24/7

If you don't the pervs and gays will take them over and make the park into their own little play land.

I heard it on this option, not yours. My buddy says it keeps plenty of kids out of his shop.

I hear nothing.

It bothers my face, ears, jaw and upper rear cranium, however.

I hear it but it doesn’t bother me. Does that mean I’m only sort of old?
