In the video i feel like they make Ponchatoula seem more small and down the bayou than it really is.

Yeah, its not the bayou. It is on the northshore. It is more redneck than bayou.

And there are a lot of people in the Hammond/Ponchtatoula area.

Holy crap, I don't know how I'd never heard of this. Somehow never came up when relatives were discussing news from Tangipahoa.

My question is, how does all that start? Like that ritual and behavior has to grow from something, and then turn into something you like to do...an exploration. How does it get to that though. If I asked this to some people they'd say, it's the way Satan works, but I mean from behavioral/psychological perspective.

I'm pretty sure SlowFlow can offer some good explanations.

Ponchatoula has some pretty sweet neighborhoods these days. It's a pretty nice place. It's just not a Southern Gothic spot.

I'm not a fan of Vice or its hipsterness, but that was pretty solid work. Fascinating and disturbing.

Great question. You have to wonder if it began in llamonica Jr's sick mind focused on abuse then spiral ed from their. I do believe real evil exists and Satan is a real being just not the horns and pitchfork cartoon character.

Some sick shite. What I can't figure is why this guy just walked I to a police station and told everything.

I like vice because they cover interesting topics and stories

I hate vice because they cover it like a bunch of high schoolers and pass it off as journalism

wow that Murphy guy on here had to be the inspiration for a lot of the Rust Cohle interrogation scenes . I mean he did the same thing to get Bernard to talk that Rust did in the show—prayed with them, told them Jesus was watching over them and guiding them to confess, etc…pretty smart dude.

an unusual wisdom about him for sure. However, he acknowledges his job is to get the confession, he didn't say "the truth"

Here's a little tidbit for you. I'm a pastor and was invited in to preach there twice in the 90's. It was before all this mess went down. My wife and I actually went out to eat with the pastor and his family following the services. I'm in the office now but I'll finish watching the video later and come back on here to post some thoughts and things I've read/heard concerning the crimes. How's that for a teaser?

Hats off to the cops involved for keeping their cool and getting what they needed from those committing the crimes.
