Our 9U coach (from Texas)and his company have been working in BR helping rebuild after the floods but he had a meeting in NO last Thursday. He was hungry and walks one block from his hotel, alone, to ACME Oyster House.

On his way back one guy runs into him on purpose while the other one grabs his wallet, he fought the first one and busted the thugs eye up pretty good before the cops got there.

Lucky He's Alive

That's what he gets for going to a shitty restaurant while in Nola.

Seriously though, that sucks. I'm glad he wasn't hurt.

Oh.. Well clearly New Orleans is the only city something like that happened in. So him being a coach has nothing to do with him getting his shite took?

Such a shame he had to be there the same weekend as the Bayou Classic, the one time a year there's any kind of trouble in New Orleans.

John Mullaney. And if you haven't seen his stand up "new in town" go watch it immediately.

Not really. Not really at all. However, I have gotten increasingly less comfortable with going to New Orleans these days. If I go, I want a hotel that is self-contained with a restaurant or two and a bar. I don't want to have to walk out of that hotel after daylight. The place has always been on the violent side. However, the last six or so years seem to be more of an upswing with this.

So he got robbed between two of the most populated streets downtown no later than 10 PM. I call bull shite. This didn't happen. Hell the police are parked up and down Conti.

How else will he explain the strip club and casino charges on the credit card to his wife?
