Someone's cat just walked into my house, made himself @ home &might be in heaven right now

I honestly have no clue who this cat belongs to. I opened up my door to go for an evening walk and this little dude came barging in.
PS - special requests to the OT. Please don't make fun of my floors, I'm in Southern Cal and shite be expensive. Also, a special shout out to governor Newsom
Hope y'all are having a great Sunday night.
This little dude brought some joy into my life when I needed it most. Pretty random, but I appreciate it. Should I keep this lil baw until I find out who he belongs to or let him go so he can find his way home?

Let him go and see what happens. If he keeps coming around after a week or so, congrats he’s your cat!

cat was at one point feral. note clipped ear. it’s used to people since it came inside and made itself at home. chances are decent it “belongs” to someone else. well, belonged. it seems to have moved on you you.

FWIW the clipped ear means he or she won't be spraying or dropping off kittens.

He is a well kept cat, definitely not a stray. Maybe give it a try to see who he may belong to. If nothing comes of it, congrats.....you have a cat!
