I never knew there was a seawall under the sand. They overfilled the wall for tourism.

Many more old photos of Biloxi and surrounding areas

me either. Kind of reminds me of the New Orleans lake front in the good ole days.

Wonder if anyone ever tried to dive off of the top step there?

I was born in Biloxi. Last time I went back was as a kid, right after Camille.

My grandparents stopped at the broadwater on the way to their honeymoon back in the 40's. To commemorate that, we'd all go for Father's Day as a kind of reunion each year.

I miss that place. We had so much fun.

Weird. That is a cool seawall. I'd figure that it would be one of those unique things that would help tourism.

i know the steps on the one at the lake front get slippery as hell. Maybe they did it for safety?

My family used to travel there several times a month as well. Dad would pull the ole Grady White behind the station wagon and we'd take that out to Ship Island then stay the weekend at Broadwater. Many fun days spent out at that huge pool they had.

LPB did a special on it a while back that was pretty cool.

Remember the little par 3 behind the tennis courts?

yep. We would always hit the balls around when we stayed there. Didn't the pool have a waterfall?
