While the orbit of our own moon is reliable enough to travel or set a clock by, the same does not hold for Pluto's moons Nix and Hydra. The pair of football-shaped moons spin in an orbit as chaotic and random as a TIE fighter piloted by a drunken Vac-head. A new analysis of data from the Hubble telescope that will appear in the journal Nature on Thursday finds that the moons tumble, spin and wobble while changing direction and rotation seemingly at random. The analysis focused on Pluto's second- and third-largest moons.

Maybe there really is a mass relay hidden in Charon that we can use for FTL travel...

A real planet would be able to control it's moons. SMH at Pluto.

I thought they would be called "satellites" or something. After all, stars don't have moons; they have planets. Is "moon" not a favored term specific to a planet's natural satellite(s)? (I admit I'm winging it here and have no idea.)

It's a very strange world. You literally would not know if the sun is coming up tomorrow. The sun might rise in the west and set in the east … or the north. If you have real estate on the north pole of Nix, you might suddenly discover one day that you're on the south pole instead,” said Showalter.
