Dude, I am so pissed at you right now, I thought this was a real toy for a second and was super stoked to get it for my son.

This is a good opportunity to remind people of how inept and corrupt the USAF leadership is. They're the masterminds behind the F-22 and F-35. Two planes that will tally at least $2 TRILLION dollars to taxpayers.

F-22 came around 2005: not one combat sortie in Iraq or Afghanistan. We got nothing for our investment there. Probably will still be a better platform than the F-35, however.

F-35 will likely be obsolete before it becomes operational. It should be scrapped immediately. We're going to drop 100k+ people from uniform, in the span of 5 years or so, in the name of saving money in the defense budget, but will defy all common sense to spare this program. It will be the biggest waste of money in DoD history.

We could fund the personnel costs of our active force for over 20 years for the price of these two aircraft.

These two planes will do more damage to our nation than protection of our nation due to sucking up funds, sending thousands with combat experience to the unemployment line, forcing the removal of proven platforms like the A-10, and adding little to our arsenal (potentially entering operational units with massive vulnerabilities, as is currently speculated about the F-35).

So, the lego joke is definitely appropriate.
