Meh, Condon makes me laugh. I've listened to him on various stations & broadcasts since I've been in BR. I don't always agree with all of his opinions, but he's a hoot & meant to be over-the-top, just like his voice. I just look at it as humor ... seems like more people here should. Damn, some of y'all get so worked up over such meaningless bullshite.

I know you're loyal to Hawthorne, as he, too is from the armpit of the universe that is CENLA, but you should try to be objective about it. He's absolutely horrible at calling baseball games - which happens to the be the only sport that recently has had games that weren't on TV - therein lies the problem.
Hannagriff has forgotten more about LSU baseball than the population of this site knows combined, he paints a picture of what's actually going on (you know - the whole point?) and he has good banter in between pitches.

Right - but what is so stupid about that? Literally the only gripe I've heard about Hannagriff is that he's "boring" or that he's fat. I, for one, like an announcer that actually allows me to be able to tell what's going on in a game and actually has a working knowledge of the rules of the game he's calling, in lieu of someone with a great radio voice that can't see 100 feet in front of him and doesn't know the rules of the game.

Bc Jim Hawthorne isn't stupid.
I suppose if you under 10 or have the iq of a crack baby he's tough to follow but fortunately for me I've never had that problem.

You get so defensive about Hawthorne. Bizarre, really. And FTR I don't know the guy and don't think he's stupid at all. I just think he's horrible at calling baseball games and he clearly doesn't have a great working knowledge of the game. I've always enjoyed his calls of basketball games and haven't listened to him call a football game since probably 1999 or so.
Just take a deep breath and try and take solace in the fact that it's highly doubtful his replacement will be black
