It is weird when you aren't use to it. I stayed in a town in Alabama once and if you wanted something other than beer you had to buy it before 7pm because that's when the state run liquor store closed.

Firearms like this are admittedly pretty stupid to own unless you live in Alaska. I don't leave town without it.

People in Juneau should apparently start taking them to work.

Lots of bear/human contacts going on up here this year.

Somewhat related- the first ever confirmed mountain lion was spotted near my hometown. It likely traveled 1000+ miles to get there.

ETA: first in over 100 years
