Odd that you consider Ruths Chris the pinnacle of fine dining.

Has it become that bad in Louisiana to assume a chain steakhouse is for the "wealthy"?

You realize the amount you qualify for is directly related to your payroll right? They have over 100 restaurants in the USA, so a lot of people are getting paychecks because of that money, and if they aren't, then Ruth Chris will be paying it back.
You should be angry the program was underfunded to begin with and was not refilled in a competent way. No matter how they do this, some people will get money before others, that's fundamentally unavoidable.

Eh, the banks are more to blame than anything. Local and regional banks game through big time for their customers, but big banks screwed their little customers and prioritized their big customers. I get why, but it sucks.

Does Ruth Chris even qualify as a small business?

Sound logic like that has no place on this board. Mean bankers and politicians make such a better story!!!1

The government gave banks $350 billion to loan to small businesses. They have loaned out all $350 billion as per instructed by the government. How’s it the banks fault?

Wrong! Are you a loan officer?
Unless you’re taking loan applications you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Uh, because they had shitty submittal systems, were late to the game, and locked out a bunch of basic business customers to give priority to bigger customers. I'm not just bashing big banks because they're big banks. They really did screw this up for a lot ftheir customers.
My bank was awesome, but it's a smaller regional bank. They had us ready to go the Friday morning it went live. There were a few hiccups, but we got it done by the end of the weekend and our loan number by midweek. Meanwhile, big banks were saying they weren't taking submissions or gatekeeping who could submit. Then they finally opened it up late to their very small business customers and did not get stuff submitted before the funds ran out.
If you don't know how the big banks didn't screw a lot of little guys, then you weren't involved with getting a PPP loan and don't know what you're talking about. Even some fellow TDers on the Money Board got screwed. There are thousands of business owners raising hell about it.
