Slidell traffic jam

Has anyone been trough Slidell in the past few days headed to Gulf Shores? How's the traffic. I heard it's only backed up going west bound.

only backs up on the weekends. They leave it wide open during the week

Mainly west bound on Sundays in the middle of the day. Came back last Sunday early and never slowed down. We left OB around 6:30am

Google maps with the traffic layer will show red if backed up.

It was backed up to the Mandeville exit last week headed to Gulf Shores. Get the Waze app and let it navigate you around that mess.

Left Thursday to come to Destin, only stop due to traffic we had was in Mobile right before the tunnel

EB you should be fine. Don't come home on the weekend unless you leave super early.
Waze app shows all the cops too :-)
Eta-they keep switching between EB and WB. Last weekend it was WB. Double check that.
