Have anyone of you had this? Did you get the machine? If so, how big of a difference did it make in your sleep?

I think i have this. I am going to get my doctor to refer me and have a sleep study done.

ETA: I'm 6'4" 215 lbs

It is legit life changing.

And for all the idiots that are about to come in and call you fat and tell you to lose weight, there are a shite ton of skinny people with sleep apnea as well.

Get a sleep study done. If diagnosed, get a CPAP and use it. Sleep apnea puts tremendous wear and tear on your body.

I did my sleep study at home. Wasn't too bad. It took a couple of nights to get used to the CPAP but it has been life changing. You don't realize how much sleep apnea effects you until you get your machine. I feel like I have 1000x more energy and focus than before. Still cant sit in a recliner at night and watch tv without falling asleep though.....

Do you get tired now?

People who are exhausted before and get a CPAP sound like they're almost always much better off after

I do know some people who got it solely because of snoring and claim they slept well before and they don't really notice a difference (I think their wives do).

Some but the vast majority are overweight.

i like my machine. can geek out on the data; it uploads to the cloud every morning and i can look at trends on my phone app.

interesting that some nights i'll have .5 apnea events per hour (or less) and some i'll have 2-3.

seems like when i've been working harder during the day and fall asleep exhausted the apnea events happen more often.

also when i've been drinking before bed.

Well ya, drinking prior to bed is the absolute worst thing you can do to aggravate sleep apnea.

Machine damn near saved my life. You think it’s just for obese people, but it’s not. I hadn’t slept well in almost five years. Not overweight. I could fall asleep easy but my snoring was crazy. I was basically suffocating every night without fully waking up. The change was almost instant.

I prefer the full face mask, the nose pillows would give me irritation

thing for me is I cannot sleep on my back, I roll through the night like I'm on a rotisserie spit, broke my back a few years ago and had to sleep on my back for a few weeks, that was almost as bad as the pain

This is misleading. It's still far more prevalent in obese people.
