They did a special on this very thing during the Olympics in Rio. The kids fight kites using powdered glass on the strings of the kites.

Both kids were riding in the car with their head out the sunroof..

Oh and the string is made of glass so there's that too

Didn't the ancient Chinese use kites to drop gunpowder bombs on enemies and shoot fireworks and shite?
