How have you been doing? I haven't seen you posting much since your thread on your surgery and complications got snarked so mercilessly.

Heck, I was just about to post in that one to commiserate (I'm 3 weeks out from a liver transplant but thankfully didn't have the close call that you did). But then your thread got hijacked with people bickering about stuff totally unrelated for pages and pages.

Thanks. I'm much the same as you said - a little better every day. The first few days post op were pretty bad but it's a bit better every day - Get staples (72 of them suckers) and exterior stiches out today.

Mostly I'm just incredibly grateful for how everything turned out. So many good people in the world with everything from prayers to neighbors mowing the lawn to the donor's family and the hospital staff, etc. Really is an eye opener.

I was dreading having the staples removed from my chest but really you don't even feel it hardly . You'll do fine.

Amen. The outpouring of love and support me and my family received from friends, neighbors, and even complete strangers was just overwhelming. It really restores your faith in the goodness of people.
