Moved to Kenner so trying to get back into the adult softball game. Don't know anyone other than a friend that lives here.

Anyone have any good or bad experiences with the league? Specifically PlayNola, not just softball.

Nothing but roided up old folk
I kid. It's a good league. Heard a lot of good things about it. I used to do landscaping all around Metarie/Kenner. Mostly middle aged men that I've conversed with. They said it's fun as hell

The recreational leagues are fun. Once you get into the more competitive ones people take it too seriously and it sucks.

I used to play softball on Thursdays with PlayNOLA. Enjoyed it.

Some teams are really good - some are out there to have fun - some are that perfect middle ground.

Bring a 6 pack and you'll have fun.

Thanks, LE.

Not looking to be really competitive, as I'm not a former all state baseball player who wasn't given a shot at the pros.

I'm pretty decent, IMO, but wouldn't sniff playing time on those competitive teams.

its not that competitive. Everyone is solid, but they dont have people that cant even catch and throw like you'll find in some of the social leagues

Gotcha. Doesn't sound so bad.

Any ideas on a free batting cage with L screen in the Kenner area?

Watch out for "Softball Guy".

They play in every league. Even in, "Don't care if ya win, drink beer" league. Softball guy will try to shine in that league.

They are an embarrassment to Softball. And they are scared to play Senior Baseball.

Never played in their leagues, sorry.

I play cabbageball in a rec league. 95% of the people are just there to drink and have a good time. 5% of people take it waaaaay to seriously.

I guess most leagues are the same?
