Especially for those who use it to incite violence that causes social unrest and hostility towards other citizens in a public space?

No. Less freedom is not a good thing. If people are dumb enough to fall for these stories, they should have the freedom to do so

Im not saying take away freedom, you can still say what you want, but to use other governmental organizations authority without permission from them to incite violence is something I think should be taken seriously.

Or at least certain positions of power should come with provisions regarding their role in social media (aka the President or a Judge, or a University faculty member).

There should be checks for abuse of power. Do you want there to be freedom for people to say they want to kill you?

Im not saying we should arrest them, but maybe twitter should be forced to take action against those individuals electronically, and law enforcement should be contacted to take count.

Im sure they compile a database anyhow.

We have a law. We commonly refer to it as the First Amendment. It's a pillar of the founding of our nation.

Yes, but how about laws against people lying about contact with the CIA, FBI, and other law enforcement agencies?

Think, if people believe it, and lets say like the Mizzou events, these agencies begin to receive lots of communication from various individuals directly related to this Mizzou ordeal asking for "assistance" when they know in reality there is NO threat.

Well, as a result of the massive amounts of communication being made with law enforcement, what if a REAL threat elsewhere were to occur, and the communications are too busy/overwhelmed to properly/quickly deal with the REAL problem.

In other words, the false claims of violence indirectly led to the exacerbation of a REALY crisis. A misuse of the state/federal taxpayer dollars to even address the false claims.

If law enforcement had lots of resources/manpower, then it could be addressed, but we all know they do not.

Thats the sad part. No one trusts anything anymore, and there is likely a person of very low character to be appointed in a position to head such a committee.
