Coding bootcamp.

You will still need the ability to solve complex problems and think logically. Learning syntax won't grant that

The issue with coding boot camp is its 10k for about 3 months but it's not a degree and I don't know if companies would even acknowledge that as a credential.

AI will be doing all the coding within a couple of years.

Sounds like a scam.

Teach yourself online and see if you can even grasp if/then loops and do whiles and arrays and global vs local variables and functions.

If it clicks...then consider your further steps

AI can't code. Computers answer humans questions, not the other way

It depends. For some companies, if you can solve problems and do well in a white board interview, then they don't care if you don't have a 4-year CS degree.

Galvanize, or a similar coding boot camp, for sure. Cheaper, more effective, quicker, insane placement rates and starting salaries, and just an all around better option. This is from someone who has a CS degree and a buddy instructing for Galvanize in Denver. Only thing is the programs are only available in cities with a decent tech presence (no programs in Louisiana)

the full stack dev class is roughly 20k and takes just a few months to complete. It gets you more industry ready in those few months than a 4 year degree with a bunch of bullshite theory and calculus classes involved. Starting salary around here is ~90k and a 97% placement rate. Both numbers considerably better than a more expensive 4 year degree without waisting the additional 3.75 years of earning potential
