I want to ship my son some boudin and andouille. Clearly I could let Don's or Billy's do it for me, but I am a do-it-yourselfer, and I want to ship products from different stores. Suggestions for cold shipping?

NB4 I am also posting on Food and Drink. But I knew OT ballers would have some insights.

Previously frozen boudin is horrible, the rice sucks.

Use A Cardboard box lined with Styrofoam sheets on all sides. Make sure they fit tightly. Make sure items are frozen then pack all sides with ice packs. We use polar tec ice bricks. You can get them on Amazon. Tape all corners and openings tightly and you should be good to go.

I owned a meat shop...The best way to ship meats is to by a 36 or 48 qt cheap Ice Chest....Pack it with the frozen items and frozen gel packs. Duct tape it sealed and then ship 2 day and you will have no problems..
Frozen boudin will seem really dry if you thaw and then microwave...
You need to thaw and then heat in skillet with a little water or rice cooked with water in the bottom.

I used to agree but if you boil it, it comes out delicious.

Except when it comes to googling cold food shipping, I suppose.

I trust the OT more than I do whatever jackass the Google algorithm sends me to. Thanks for the input.

I use Best Stop. Order online and it usually ships out in a couple of days and takes 3 days to get to the NW and NE coasts. Easy, and they have the best boudin in the world, by far.

I would argue it requires more effort to ask here then to google it
