Atheism is simply the lack of belief in the existence of gods. It isn't even a positive claim that there ARE no gods, merely the default position until evidence can be presented to prove the existence.

As long as they aren't trying to jam it down your throat in person or saying they won't protect and serve certain people because of their religion...I see no issue. What are you even jabbering about? My sons have gone to public school for the past 9 years and the ONLY mention of religion has been the nearly ever present Christian variety.

The problem here is that you seem to think that NO mention of your god equals teaching atheism. It doesn't. At all. It simply leaves THAT up to parents, churches, etc.

Now...the minute some school starts to declare that no gods exist, fell free to point that out to me and I'll be RIGHT THERE by your side. Honest. but no one of any intellectual honest should side with your premise that not promoting your version equals the teaching of atheism.
