Shell Norco is for sale or Motiva Convent?

No surprise at all. Shell has been dumping refineries all over the place for the past few years.
What's strange with how this will all play out is that when that refinery was under the Motiva name, they spend a shitload of money running three piplelines to Norco with the intent of shutting down the Convent FCCU and sending feed to Norco.

When Shell took over full ownership, they decided to keep the Convent FCCU running.

It's been Shell for three years or so now. Same with Norco, which was also Motiva.

I'm pretty sure Shell bought Motiva Convent. Now OP is saying they are selling. Hell, it wasn't that long ago they bought it.

Not really. Motiva was a 50/50 joint venture between Shell and Saudia Aramco so what they basically did was buy out Motiva’s interest.
I’m still amazed that the Saudis didn’t go buy some other US assets over the last three years. They just have Port Arthur and some pipelines and terminals as of now

"Wasn't long ago they bought it."

It was a JV with Aramco.

Shell took full ownership of convent and Norco. Aramco got port Arthur.

Im not sure how bad they they are cash wise with what has happened around the world, but I bet they could find some deals.
Hell it might be Motiva that is interested in buying Convent. LOL
