A good friend of my grandfathers had a cockatoo and we would go to his house and visit with the bird. I thought it was extremely cool and I really wanted one at that age. When I was in my 30s, I thought about getting one. However, I did a little research and found out that they could live about 60 years. It's hard to explain why, but I just didn’t want to get an animal that would probably outlive me.

I don’t have any pics of my two dogs that haven’t been posted already. Here is my beautiful granddog, who had to be put down recently. He was quite a dog. RIP.
