Settle the debate: are you supposed to wash your feet every time you shower?

I say definitely yes. However, I had a discussion with a group of friends one time and about half of them said they don’t wash their feet when they shower. It wasn’t just the guys either. Some of the girls admitted doing the same.

Their reasoning is that the water runs over your feet and cleans them automatically. You don’t actually have to lather them up and rinse them.

I don’t think I agree with that. Feet have way too many bacteria, fungi, etc. on them to just ignore them like that. I think the people who skip washing their feet are gross.

I just pee on my feet in the shower since pee is sterile and I usually need to pee anyway. Tow birds, one stone.

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

If I've been out working and sweating or running around barefoot outside in the yard w/the kid than yeah I'll wash them w/soap. But if I've just been sitting around in the house all day wearing socks and watching TV? Nah, a quick rinse in the shower is fine enough.

I wash my bar of soap before I wash my feet, but definitely not after.
