For a wedding reception, does the bride's parents or groom's parents pay for the alcohol at the reception?

Mind if I hit it while you're sleeping on the couch?

I always thought that the bride's parents covered the whole wedding.
The groom's parents cover the rehearsal supper.

The bride's parents. She's the one who wants the wedding.

Brides parents pay for wedding. Grooms cover rehearsal traditionally.

sometimes the groom's parents have real money, so they can handle it at a level the bride's parents could not dream of. it can be negotiated long before.
traditionally, the bride's father is paying the man to take her off his hands on condition that the daughter is well taken care of from then on.
that means he picks up the entire tab.
dowry is the keyword
the bit about the rehearsal is new to me.
the Greek father in My big fat greek wedding was an interesting archetype.
Bought them a house, next door.

I think groom's parents pay for the flowers.

Bride's. Groom's parents pay only for the rehearsal dinner because the groom will be paying for everything else for the rest of his life.

Theknot.com says groom's parents
Her parents paid for the liquor at her brother's wedding, but they also paid for arguably more than most groom's parents pay for for her brother's wedding.
