You'll be lucky to get 1000. Just keeping it real

i thought it was something GIA did when they certified a diamond. Its for tracability.
No because I can take off that laser etching in a few seconds. FWIW, anybody that buys sketchy diamonds, looks at the girdle first thing, then off to the polisher right away if it has it.
its an extra fee

If you decide to try eBay, you will need to post a very good photo of the rings to get the best price. Put the ring on a black cloth background and flood it with as much light as you can to brighten the diamonds and make them sparkle.
But first take it to a jeweler and get it professionally cleaned and appraised. Post a photo of the appraisal with the eBay listing (assuming the appraisal results in a favorable figure) and offer to include the original appraisal to the auction's winner.
You can probably expect, at best, to get around 65% of the appraised value on eBay.

That ring is going to be a hard ring to sell, the wedding band will be slightly easier. emeralds are a harder sell as well.

he says it appraised at $5600. We were hoping to get 60% or close to that
if it was appraised recently, you will be lucky to get 1/4 of that.
if you dont need more money, you would be better off scrapping the gold and small stones(which are not worth much) and re-purposing the 3 larger stones into a necklace

Ask my ex, she sold the 3.7 carat center stone engagement ring, that was given to me by my grandmother, when we split up!

The appraisal is in a box somewhere. I'll have to go find it before we sell. She says it appraised at $5600. We were hoping to get 60% or close to that
It really sucks that someone broke into your home and stole it! It's a good thing you have it covered under your homeowners insurance!!!
