I know where you'll be storing everything based on those pics.

Under the bed.

Woops. Forgot about that.

LA Edition will be out a year or two after with a window unit and a Honda generator.

Can you pay ten thousand and get one five times as big?

We'll need AC down here. That's for sure.

yeah, the top travel trailer companies like Airstream and Escape have spent a lot of time on livability. this seems green-gimmicky to me. The very fact that you can't just tow the thing seems absurd. are there really no wheels? so you plop it down and you're stuck with where it is? that's fine for a house, even a small one. But my friend down the street in Missoula is building a tiny house on a trailer. Even it has wheels.

and i question how well this will work. i do a lot of boondocking, and it's a lot about the operator. I wonder how many tried and true boondockers will buy these things.

you could set up the power/water plant side (and, again, add hydroponics--aquaponics, whatever--fish and edible plant products living symbiotically) on or nearby a nice airstream and be better off.

Do you get free shares of Solyndra with each purchase?

I NEED this now. I could be cramped up in a sweaty trailer pod instead of watching this stupid 60" inch TV in my dumb 3500 square foot home. Hurry up science

At first I thought since you could "live virtually anywhere" it had mobility and totally wanted. Now? Hell I can't think of any real practical purpose for it. Not for permanency anyway.

if you (not you but you people) can't afford an Airstream (and/or don't have tie to remodel one), then find a used Escape. You can tow them behind all sorts of good MPG vehicle and mod for the energy/water stuff.

No, you're reading my mind. Retrofitting the catchment, solar and wind for that amt of needed power/water wouldn't be terribly expensive. And it moooooves...

Now trust me, I would love to go off grid for a month but how?

A fancy RV without wheels. I'd much rather have a truck bed camper. That truly lets you live almost anywhere.

Yeah, no AC makes this thing nothing but a fricking attic. And where's the media room?

You can live anywhere provided you own/lease the land it's parked on... So basically you cannot just " live anywhere".

The $2400 was for shipping alone. They haven't released prices yet

No AC means nope. I don't thisvis meant to be mobile. I think it's a one time move and people actually live in it
