In the market for a leather sectional and am leaning towards passing on the console piece. It is $450, and I have a coffee table to set drinks/remotes on as well as an electrical socket in the wall to charge my cell.

Anyways, my question(s) is/are:

Do you have one of these fancy sectional consoles?

and if so, would you purchase it again or pass?

This is the one we have in a charcoal grey. It's a Menotti and will last forever.

Consoles will go out of style quickly.

Not sure if it's much help, but I just bought a leather sectional and chaise, I felt no need for the console. I had no desire or want to have one for the same reasons you listed

We bought a flexsteel sectional but no console

We got the microfiber instead of leather. It's pretty comfortable, especially the reclining pieces.

My only issue is the seats are more bucket-like so it's not too comfortable to lay down on
