I am redoing my walls halfway up in the bathroom with recycled pallet wood. I have stained the boards before installing. I plan to start putting the wood up tomorrow. What would folks recommend as a sealant for such a wall?

I heard that pallet boards were worrisome due to the possibility of termites from where they came.

I would use SPAR Varnish because of the moisture.

Damn man you have me paranoid now. Thankfully most of it is oak and looks pretty good.

I will look into the Spar. Dumb question: is satin less glossy than semi-gloss? I am looking for a non-glossy sealant.

If you seal it well I can't believe it'll be a problem. I just
remember the old guys saying that, 90% of the time they were right.
