I have quite a few scratches in my wood floors and I'm looking for a way to conceal them without refinishing.

A few of the scratches are deep (like somebody drug a oven for a foot before realizing what they were doing), but most aren't deep at all (imagine someone stepped on a coin and twisted his foot).

Can someone suggest a product or something I can try to make them as invisible as possible?

*I realize they won't completely vanish fwiw. Thanks.

Check the reddit dyi or home improvement boards, they always have great ideas for stuff that happens around the house

Interesting.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm assuming the wax stick needs to match the color of the floor?

There are lots of products for repairing, or at least hiding, scratches.

The cheap end of the range is represented thusly.

Like he said. Wax stick bout the best way and the come in a variety colors. But really not a permanent solution. Specially for real deep gouged. There is some types of floor waxes that can help the small scratches. But than not a permanent solution either

I can vouch for the wax sticks. Moving in and my GF but a pretty big scar on the floor. Bought wax sticks and used the appropriate color. scar is hardly visible unless you really look for it.

My daughter pulled a chair across the living room leaving some nice scratches less than an hour ago. Going to try the wax first.

Scratches give your floor character.

Rub a walnut into the scratches. I would imagine they have vids all over internet. You're welcome

Bri Wax.

It will take a little elbow grease to make sure it blends, but trust me - it will cover color-wise.
As for the gouge in the wood - just tell people your floor was made from reclaimed wood...

I have 1.5" red oak that was put down 50 years ago. Beautiful. Paid 4 grand to have them refinished. My kids took some metal pot and beat the shite out of about 4sf in my dinning room. Deep divets. Could see unfinished wood. The guy that stained them gave me some of the stain they used, and I put that over the area. Can't tell it even happened.
