Scientists Find Evidence for Ninth Planet in Solar System

A planet larger than Earth could be hiding in the cold, dark depths of the solar system. The presence of the planet, which would lie far beyond Pluto, is betrayed by the curious orbits of a handful of distant icy worlds.
As described Wednesday in the Astronomical Journal, the gravitational signature of a large, lurking planet is written into the peculiar orbits of these farflung worlds. Called extreme Kuiper Belt Objects, the misbehaving bodies trace odd circles around the sun that have puzzled scientists for years.
It’s tantalizing evidence that a ninth large planet might live in the solar system, though the world hasn’t been detected yet.

Would be pretty cool to find another planet that far out.

this is all a load of shite and man never walked on the moon or else we would have been able to count the damn planets then.

Adding a ninth planet with Pluto still around would just be tasteless.

It's the dreaded Planet X or Nibiru. The Mayans predicted this.

Solid point. I'll contact National Geographic and let them know they need to take down their story.

I was so convinced upon opening this thread that scientists were finally going to admit their bullshite and once again recognize Pluto as a legitimate planet.
Words cannot describe my sheer and utter disappointment. Someday, Pluto...someday you will be loved again.

They'll just wait a few years, then say it's really not a planet.

Planet X
it is where our makers live

If they find confirmation of that planet, name it Myanus

Pluto has been demoted to "dwarf-planet" status.
Welcome to 10 years ago.

Notice that the guy who is predicting this new planet is the same one who worked to get Pluto demoted.
It's a scam to get more grant money.

Pluto doesn't meet the definition of a planet per an international regulatory body of scientists, not one guy.
