A real scientist doesn't use the term, "God", or even allude to such a concept. Issac Newton would be rolling in his grave.

I'll wait for a real scientist such as Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Bill Nye, or Christoper Hitchens to comment on this before I give into some wacko "scientist" who probably thinks the world is 6,000 years old.

This is sarcasm right?

I agree that this doesn't definitively prove a specific flavor of God.

But it does suggest that some sort of God exists, or existed.

What in your opinion makes Hawking correct on the one hand while Michio Kaku isn't even a real scientist on the other? I'd like to see what lead you to this opinion.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson has contributed more to science that any other scientist since Albert Einstein. That's why he has his own television show.

correct

my only gripe was that "God" usually refers to the Christian "God"

a better statement would just be that he found proof of intelligent design

Because Hawking's philosophy agrees with mine.

you shouldn't capitalize God in this sense.

It seems he found what he has concluded is proof of "intelligent design" which I think a lot of people who are not religious believe in based on our own observations - i am one of them.

It could mean that, but even if true it doesn't come close to vindicating any organized religion.

a basic infinite loop. I have subscribed to the theory of the expanding, collapsing infinite loop as well. Our universe expands until it is too big and falls back in on itself and immediately repeats it.
