Soapbox [ON]. How is it that in the 70's and 80's kids had cartoons which taught them grammar, math, civics, mathematics history etc and it's been replaced with what?

Wheels on the bus.

I feel as if each generation we are dumbing down our children.

God, tell me about it.

The Flintstones was the epitome of historical teachings about the early days of humans right after creation about 5-10,000 years ago.

Instead now we have shite like Sid the science kid who teaches godless science.

Wait, since when is "wheels on the bus" a new thing or a replacement for Schoolhouse Rock?

Cause I gotta say I remember "Wheels on the Bus" in pre-K but also remember Schoolhouse Rock in elementary school...

What's your guess on how many 25 year old people in America today know the process of a bill becoming a law?

You obviously don't have young kids. Some of the stuff on Nick Jr and Disney Jr is very educational.

Just talking out your arse.

This generation of children is more educated than any in the history of mankind.

Guess what? It will be the same with the generation after them.

True story.

Jr High Civics class 1988.

Teacher gave us a test on the first day (not for a grade) to see how much we knew. He gave us the same test at the end of the year to show us what we learned.

I made a 100 on the test on the first day.

He asked me how I knew all that, and my answer was "School House Rock."
