The Alamo is not sketchy and there is a Ripleys and Fudruckers and other such stuff right across the street

Head about 90 miles south on I-35. Beautiful Cotulla is a must see. Also, carve out an hour to visit Jun's massage/rub-n-tug on Babcock. $60/hr + a nominal tip. The Wallmarks on SE Military is a happening place as well, but brush up on your Spanish.
