Man, life comes at you fast. One day you're a 25-years-old Russian soldier just trying to get drunk and stay childless, a few months later you're getting blown up in a foreign country by a missile you never saw coming.

You know, you at least have to respect the tankers, on all sides, in the first two World Wars. Really any before the dawn of this style of war. At least those did battle on roughly equal terms. There’s respect, on a soldiers level, in mutual combat.

There’s no glory or honor or even dignity in that sort of thing. Someone at a computer pushing buttons and erasing lives thousands of miles away, like a goddamned video game.
War, at its core, was meant to be, at least on some level, personal.
The more we remove all the humanity from it, the more we make it calculations and pushing a button and bang, boom, boys don’t sit at the table at Christmas…

Agreed.
Once you take that human, real time and "where the metal hits the meat" element out of war it becomes too easy to engage in kinetic warfare that impacts human lives.
Barry Obama sent more drone strikes/kinetic ordnance flying into none declared combat AO's than any other president in US history.

Ukraine must be winning this war. They have drones and superior firepower. As of today, I still haven’t seen the Russians kill a single Ukrainian soldier from the videos I’ve seen. All the posted vids by the MSM and even here on this board demonstrate Russias ineptness of not killing anyone but innocent civilians.
To top it off, the Russians are getting raped by drones and their tanks are getting repoed by old Ukrainian farmers. The Russian body count must be over 10K. The proud Ukrainian troops are winning this war no doubt and it’s thanks to Biden and NATO for their sanctions.

Which is what cracks me up when all these "tough" guys try to proclaim "see what happens if you try to take my guns! Ge ready for another Civil War!"
It's not going to be another human target you will face. You will be eliminated without knowing you were even a target.
Yet those same guys are the ones who relish in the pride that our military is so advanced.
