Hi all, I've lurked for the longest time.

Wife went through the process technology program.

Passed the shell test.

Passed the Exxon test.

Anyone know what she should do?

I'm telling her to go back into school for safety??

She graduated at the top of her class, but no one wants to give her a shot due to lack of experience.

So she finished school and now you're telling her to go back? How long has she been searching for a job? If she hasn't received a callback, she should apply at more places... Those are like top tier places to get on, she should keep trying elsewhere.

Women get special treatment in plants. Looks good to hire women for operator jobs.

Tell her to try a low-key job like that to get her foot in the door if she needs experience then.

Eta: If she is set on going back to school, SELU has a safety degree

Did she try BASF? They had a sign on interstate basically begging for women operators.

I'm sure this has been mentioned but you're going to have more success starting at a smaller company. Get some experience and then start thinking about moving to a bigger company.
