"In the face of new information, there now appear to be discrepancies in Jackie's account, and we have come to the conclusion that our trust in her was misplaced. We were trying to be sensitive to the unfair shame and humiliation many women feel after a sexual assault and now regret the decision to not contact the alleged assaulters to get their account. We are taking this seriously and apologize to anyone who was affected by the story."
quote:

According to The Washington Post, officials close to the fraternity say it did not host a party on September 28, 2012, the night Jackie claims she was invited to a date party and was then gang-raped by seven men rushing Phi Psi. In the Rolling Stone article, Jackie also says that the assailants were working at the university's Aquatic Fitness Center during the time of the sexual assault, which officials say is not true. They say that no member of the fraternity matches the descriptions included in the Rolling Stone account either

I'm on mobile. I didn't feel like searching... My bad everyone.

At least it's early on a Saturday and not early on a Tuesday.

My bad SFP.

Rolling Stone is being crucified by everyone now

SJWs are furious they left Jackie out on a limb

Those not buying into the rape crises are furious RS ran a slanted story in the first place

Media outlets are mad at the black eye to their industry

They'll regret it more once they personally get sued and lose their job. I hope they, the reporter and Rolling Stone get sued into oblivion.

Want some surefire media attention these days? Be a woman and yell "sexual assault" or a black and yell "racism" with any out of the ordinary situation. This is proof that the media will literally trip over each other to give you your spotlight. It gives me joy when it blows up in their collective faces.
