People used to always park in my daughter's drive way on game day to where she had to park down the street after she got off work at walk on's. It was dangerous to be walking around that late, she could have been mugged or worse. I got out the phone book and saved the riverside towing number in her phone so she could call when people parked up her driveway.

She said they always showed up in 10 minutes or less and got the illegally parked cars out of the way to where she could park in her own driveway

If you park where you're supposed to park you won't get towed, simple as that. Riverside is a needed service, and they do their job well.

There are seven double-sided signs at Zippy's clearly stating that it is for Zippy's customer parking only. It further states that you MUST be INSIDE Zippy's to be considered a customer.

I am guessing that you were walking from your vehicle toward the door of Zippy's when the tow team began their operation. You clearly violated policy and did not respect the awe thor uh tye of the signs.

In the future, go to the Hot dog shack across the street when you have a craving for aged, processed meat. If you feel the need to go to Zippy's, set up a friend or family member as a sniper at the tattoo shop next to the hotdog emporium.

And please do not get me started on the cell tower outside the back door of Zippy's with it's links to leukemia and whatnot.

What gets me is that I walked right past the guy on the way into the restaurant. They were watching the parking lot and I even thought to myself that they were about to really ruin someone's day. He had to have seen us walk from the car to the front door.

And my fixation on people parking illegally is mostly due to the fact I have to deal with someone blocking my driveway at least 2-3+ times per month.

Yeah but no one is talking about your parking problems in Nola. You've never dealt with RTC. Be happy with that and stop trying to knight for a trash company you know nothing about.

You got me. Riverside goes around towing poor innocent legal parkers and they ignore the scores of people parked illegally. It's a wonderful business practice.

I feel so foolish for not realizing the genius of going around towing random legally parked vehicles.

Just because you people like to park illegally doesn't mean riverside towing is evil

My point is that I refuseto believe any towing company goes around towing legally parked vehicles on purpose. There are sufficient illegally parked vehicles to tow.

And no "I was only going to be a few minutes" is not a legitimate reason to park illegally.

I'm "knighting" for no one. I stand by my comment that you are very unlikely to have a problem if you refrain from parking like an a-hole.

I have parked in many cities, including Baton Rouge. They all have these neat little signs that I obey. I have never been towed. It's a Christmas miracle I suppose.

You are correct. It is all of the other things reported in this thread, along with a plethora of BBB complaints that make them evil.

And can the guy who is confused what this thread is about please tell me more about the evils of parkers in the City that Care forgot? You said the same thing twelve times, adding very little further detail. Take a deep breath, start at the beginning, and try to realize that no detail is too small or unimportant.

All it takes to get a bad BBB rating is a bunch of "customers" refusing to consider a complaint closed.

All it would take for Riverside to get a bad BBB rating would be a lot of entitled assholes complaining about being towed for parking illegally and refusing to accept that fact.

Always look behind the BBB grade and look for the reasons for the bad grade.

Excuse me for laughing hysterically but they had 8 complaints in 3 years.

3 dealt with billing issues "they charged me too much to tow me."

5 dealt with the "service". Omg I got towed.

They probably tow 8 vehicles every day before lunch but they are evil for having 8 complaints in 3 years.

Maybe if they become BBB "accredited" they can get a B or C. That's usually how it works.
