Hippos kill more people in Africa than any other wild animal.

Bluefin tuna that have constructed breathing apparatuses of kelp. They can't be on land for days but an hour, hour forty-five no problem.

Hippo. They are overly aggressive and kill more people than leopards, rhinos, buffalo, lions, and elephants combined each year in Africa.

I'm not a large water-dwelling mammal,
Where did you get that preposterous hypothesis?
Did Steve tell you that, perchance?

Rhino

Croc would be on the bottom of that list.

Elephant Seal is at a disadvantage too, I would think.

Hippo would be badass but the Rhino is too strong, I think.

Rhinos have very poor eyesight tho

Polar bear doesn't have as tough a hide to protect it.

Some of the those listed in the OP's post are herbivores and would not attack other animals, but of course are quite capable of defending themselves.

The Romans regularly exhibited fights to the death between animals. I recall reading somewhere that the king of the predators in those fights were large bears, but I have been unable to find a link to verify this. Size matters, and among predators the bears are the biggest.
