Anyone have one of these? Looking at a house and has this type of unit. I've never heard of Rheem.

Ah.. well ya they are pretty well known.. just like others I'm sure there is good and bad. Maybe Google that model and see some reviews..

No a/c guy, but what I've heard about them was good as opposed to stay away.
They're all getting crappy though.

I do A/C work and Rheem is my favorite brand. Easy to troubleshoot and parts are cheap.

My Ac guys that do work for me buy from a Rheem or Rudd distributor.
I have 40 rental properties and had not had any fail that were under 10 yrs old knock on wood.
They seem to like Rheem or Rudd.

My old townhouse had a Rheem that was at least 30 years old...we replaced it with another. It didn't break, was just time to upgrade.

It's an older R22 unit, probably 10 or 13 seer. The new Rheem systems are good stuff.

I have a Classic X that is 24 years old. It gets a freon injection every couple of years, but it's still hanging on.

In all fairness Rheem isn't a company that keeps themselves in the public eye. Trane, Carrier and American Standard do that very well.

Incredible. Rheem was around in the dinosaur era.

The Rheem unit in my home is 24 years old and I don't think it has ever needed freon. I've been there 10 years and have only changed filters and cleaned coils.

I have two Rheem units. No issues whatsoever - going on 8th year. I do have them serviced once a year.

Had a Rheem at previous house and no issues either.
