Replacement Windows- Vinyl or Aluminum

I am replacing all the window on a house.
I think the vinyl would give a better thermal break. But it is in a mid priced rental property and think the metal may be a better idea.
Suggestions?

Why are you replacing? Single pane? I'm replacing 1970s single pane wood windows with double pane wood. Vinyl doesn't look right and I haven't looked at aluminum

The seal is broken on most of the glasses. They are really fogged up.
Quote to replace just fogged up glasses is $1800. But that leaves many of the old non-fogged glasses that are probably 40 years old.
Quote for all new windows installed is $3000 by local company that does excellent work.

Vinyl Clad will give you the nicest look without having the maintenance nightmare of all wood windows

How much more is vinyl? if not much more I'd go that route. Every aluminum window I've seen can get hella sweaty during the right conditions. (humid winter)

Windows are not exactly where you want to go the cheapest route. They can add up very quickly but a good window is worth the price you pay now, over time.

Hello, ItzMe
I thought about this for a long, long time.
Maybe I think too much but something's wrong.
There's something here that doesn't last too long.
Sometimes I can't help seeing all the way through.
Flip a coin.

We replaced with vinyl almost 20 years ago. They still are functioning great. The main thing is to get a good installation.
