They don't offer insurance at the rental place... It's just a waiver that you sign. If I wreck this thing will my auto insurance cover it.

Depends on you coverage. Why don't you just call your auto insurance?

Typically yes. Same as a moving truck you rent. If you have full coverage on a vehicle, that insurance transfers to the vehicle you rent, providing it's a normal Street vehicle. State Farm is what I have and was no issue. I found out only because enterprise truck rental salesman tried like hell to sell theirs to me. I Heard the conversation with an agent on speaker. He was disappointed my insurance covered.

Luckily it is dead in Destin at this time of the year so the roads shouldn;t be crowded until the Snowbirds come to town in Octoberish

Do you need a motorcycle endorsement for a scooter, I would think so.

They don't check that near beaches. They'd go broke. But that does make me question my assumption on insurance.

I always love riding my bike down to Holiday Isle and Scenic Hwy 98 - so much raw talent in these areas of town

They did in Anchorage, but it was for a Harley.

Yea I imagine they do for those. Not an $800 scooter though.
