Removing stuck caliper pin bolts

Tried using a ratchet and then a breaker bar, fricker won't budge, and yes I also used penatrating oil on it too.
Would using an impact driver(I have aDeWalt) be the best solution to this? I just don't want to break nothing.

Put some heat on it from a torch for about 20 seconds, then start with penetration oil until cool. Then tap with a hammer where the threads are located. Repeat about 3 times and it will loosen. An impact will break it.

Impact will be the easiest but if it doesn't work, get you a cheater pipe

Use the impact. If that doesn't work, heat the bolt.

Get a box end wrench and put some pressure on it, at the same time tap the bolt with a hammer.

Okay, but did you use Aerokroil ? Finest penetrating oil on the market. Works within two hours. If it still won't budge, which I doubt, use heat.

Seriously, Aerokroil is much better, and that is no hype.

Impact driver took them right out.
Why would there be a risk of breakage with one?

Did you clean out the hole and grease the pins? The caliper needs to be able to slide a little.
I doubt you'll break it with a battery operated or electric impact...maybe with a huge 3/4" air impact.
I like to break things loose by hand too though.

My milwakee battery impact has fricking sheared a few bolts that have surprised me. It's awesome
kroil
Every garage should have a can. Just know that you want to flush out the area with a lubricant or something else once you break it free. You don't want the corrosivityof the kroil to sit there and eat indefinately.

I was kind of worried but the bolts came out easy, lots of runs was holding them in, should be interesting for the rear ones tomorrow

You can buy a small hand torch for these small jobs. Take a while to heat up but will do the job without investing in something like a cutting rig.

So. You'd like to break something?
