The guy in Nice, France killed and injured more people with a box truck.

And that's the most logical view point of this entire thread.

About 10,000 people will die in car accidents. Better ban those Toyota’s.
To compare a car accident with purposely pulling a gun trigger with intent to kill as many innocent people is dumb.

FWIW, there are belt fed uppers that mount to an AR reciever...
I agree it's not likely that was used, but they exist

As opposed to purposely ramming a truck into a crowd of people?
Or setting off a bomb next to a building?

It wasn't an automatic weapon. Pretty sure he was using something like this: GAT Crank
If you listen to the firing it wasn't the rhythm of an automatic, the speed of the shots was going up and down.

The gun he used was belt fed. It's in an article of what police found in hotel room.

Do people realize how inaccurate a fully auto weapon is on full blast? That wouldn't make sense to use at the distance he was shooting at.
No. I've come to learn everyone just goes by what they see on TV. Half the people I've taken shooting with me (because they were possible interested in owning a gun) will attempt to "shoot from the hip" with a damn pistol. There's a reason you never give someone who's not shot firearms a loaded gun.

The belt fed AR 15 was an example. Police found a belt fed weapon when searching the hotel room of the shooter. Thanks.

By god, you're right. As soon as we declare America a gun free zone, no more shooting deaths will happen!

Ok, Tiger, since you are so completely informed of all the facts, why not explain, so none of us will be misinformed. Thanks.

Why don't you do a look up on Belt fed AR-15, that's how I found it. Stop being an arse.

Caetano v. Massachusetts
quote:
The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court affirmed the conviction, holding that a stun gun “is not the type of weapon that is eligible for Second Amendment protection” because it was “not in common use at the time of [the Second Amendment’s] enactment.” 470 Mass., at 781, 26 N. E. 3d, at 693.
This reasoning defies our decision in Heller, which
rejected as “bordering on the frivolous” the argument “that only those arms in existence in the 18th century are protected by the Second Amendment.” 554 U. S., at 582.

And, we have this group called, the NRA, whose main focus is to assure that anyone can own any gun type they want.
This is just as uneducated as the rest of you post. Typical.

Maybe I'm just naturally skeptical, but I find it hard to believe that the police have already emptied the room, cataloged everything, issued a report, and someone has published an article telling what gun he used. Maybe you have some incredible sources Isabelle.
