Any recommendations on shops in the Prairieville, Gonzales or South BTR area?

You could probably do it all yourself and save a ton of money.

pretty much any upholstery shop can do that...I used to get very good service from a place called Stehr's Awning and Upholstery in Cenla.

Don't go to Mad Marks on Airline if you're looking to save $, crazy expensive (at least me boat cushion estimate was). Can't comment on quality, but must be good since they've been around so long.

I used Tops Unlimited years ago, did very good work but I'm not sure if they are still around.

Order factory carpet. DON'T ORDER ANYTHING ELSE...

Takes about 4 hours to replace in your driveway. You'll have to pull out all the trim but as you do hand it to someone to clean. When you go back in with the trim after the carpet the interior is spotless.

Next get katzkin leather seats installed.

I did a trailblazer for around 1600 dollars carpet and seats. Took a weekend.

Edit... there's a shop on Choctaw by monterrey that installs the seat covers.

This x 100. Years ago I put some non-factory carpet in my 69 300 convertible - everything (dirt, grass, etc.) stuck to the carpet and it was "fluffy".

I never did that again.

That's typically a mistake you only make once. I made it once too.

"Too pricey"

Normally I would agree. I "zero houred" my wife's ride two years ago. She just broke 300k miles. It still looks like a new vehicle. I figured that was about 4 car payments and I did it 120k miles ago. I do all my own work and spend about 200 dollars about every 6 months changing something. Wheel bearings here, fuel pump there and so on. It's a good investment in the long run.

Gotcha.

I'm glad this thread popped up. I have an older Tacoma and I'm redoing the interior. I'm going cheaper, though. I found new seats for about 400 and I'm just ripping the carpet out and rhino-lining the sumbitch.
