Yeah, many loners and weird kids are picked on and can snap. Especially if they have mental issues.

I went to a private Catholic high school with about 100 students per class, and there were few if no bullies. Everyone was cool with each other. Of course there were the cool kids and the nerds, but we all got along and never excluded anyone from parties and social gatherings.

There was no "zero tolerance policies" for bullying, we policed ourselves and others.

Guess I can chalk it up to good parenting. Unfortunately not enough of that going on today.

My nephews posted pics of themselves with guns all the time in high school. Granted it was usually shotguns with ducks, but yeah, it's a different culture here in S. LA.

What I was thinking, If they had showed him printing blueprints of the school or some shite that would be different but how is anyone supposed to know that a kid looking at guns is planning a shooting, and accusing him of planning a shooting probably isn't the best idea.

Stop making schools no gun zones and allow principles and teachers to carry as long as they are licensed to CC, (principles should be mandated to go through training and to at least have a gun in their office). Put a resource officer or two in every school if possible (I went to three HS's and all three had two full-time resource officers, including one private school). People commit mass shooting at/in soft targets. Statistics proves this is true in almost every case.

I remember when I was in high school.. At some point they started cracking down on people who had their gun in their truck, on the gun rack.. People would go hunting before school or after.. Today, based on this video, if someone had a shotgun in their truck because they were going hunting... they would be a suspect.

Close.

ND in Crowley. Was a great school. Went to a 30 year reunion this past summer and everyone was as cool and loving as ever.

I don't think actual school shooters make it that obvious: looking at gun magazines at school and doing the "pew pew" with their hands.

The only problem I have with this is.. I had a few teachers... that if they were carrying a licensed gun, they would be in jail right now.

Damn, I thought all schools had "bullies". Honestly, I thought everyone, at some point got "bullied" or messed with...

Exactly. "I want to shoot up a school, but let me see if I can do some shite to make it obvious first so they can stop me"/

Truth. Look for kids with the "crazy look" in their eyes like this.

Also, this is from a Sandy Hook group.. The jackass who shot up those poor kids was not even a student at the school. You can't find what you don't see. If something become obvious, people are going to say something, but the problem is.... These people just snap.. Some might seem a little "off" or maybe a quiet student, but you can't really do anything about that..

Other than the VT shooter, if you would look at those other pictures without know what they did, we would probably have a completely different perception of them. The Sandy Hook shooter.. It looks like someone just shoved something up his arse when the picture was taken..
