I'm assuming you watched the rest of that video by now.
Quick summary.... Charles was on his way to becoming the next great evangelist. In fact many predicted that he was the next great one and not Billy Graham. Early on Charles knew Jesus on a personal level. And he was very close to him. But at the years past, his doubts about Christianity grew to much and he became an Atheist (he had many heated debates with Graham that you can research if you want.)
Just some observations from my point of view.
Charles admits early on in the video that the story of Jesus of Nazareth was never the same to him. He no longer believed Jesus was the son of god. Then Charles praised Jesus's moral standards, compassion, and admits that he deeply misses him. Now, I have read the dialogue of this conversation between Strobel and Templeton. Immediately after Templeton stated he missed Jesus, Templeton started to cry uncontrollably. After several seconds he stopped crying, his stern look on his face returned, and he continued the interview. This is what I want you to think about. Why would an Atheist of the last 44 years start crying after he states he missed Jesus Christ? During the interview Charles did Not have this type of emotion when he mentioned the church, his christian friends, he christian lifestyle, other evangelist including Billy Graham, his mentors, etc... Only Jesus, who he 100% rejects, strangely brought out this raw emotion.

I was suppose to do this yesterday. After my drive home I got too distracted (staining cabinets, walking dog, getting my boat ready to go fishing today, watched the Spurs) and time slipped away from me. That was wrong of me and I apologize.
